NORDIC WALKING ASSOCIATION OF NORTH AMERICA Nordic Walking Academy — NWANA LMS Registration Policy Type: Site Policy — Mandatory Acceptance | Version: 1.1 | Effective date: August 17, 2026 |
1. Who Can Register
The Nordic Walking Academy NWANA platform is open to any individual who meets the eligibility requirements set out in the Terms of Use. Registration is self-service and available to users worldwide.
Creating an Academy account does not require NWANA membership or an NWANA license. Individual courses and professional pathways may have separate prerequisites, experience requirements, approval procedures, and enrollment restrictions.
Course certification and activation of an NWANA professional license are separate processes.
2. Registration Process
To create an account on the platform, you must:
-
Provide your first name, last name, a valid email address, and your country of residence;
-
Choose a secure password;
-
Indicate your registration type: Student, Instructor, or Organization;
-
Confirm your email address via the verification link sent to your inbox;
-
Accept all required NWANA policies before your account is activated.
Accounts are activated only after email verification and policy acceptance are complete.
3. Optional Email Communications from NWANA
During registration, users may separately choose whether they wish to receive promotional email communications from the Nordic Walking Association of North America (NWANA).
This choice is optional, is not selected by default, and is not required to create an Academy account, enroll in a course, purchase a product or service, or participate in an NWANA program.
Users who provide this consent may receive NWANA news, educational opportunities, course announcements, professional pathway and license information, Nordic Walking Group opportunities, events and competitions, member benefits, fundraising and support opportunities, special offers, and other promotional communications.
Consent may be withdrawn at any time through the unsubscribe link provided in each promotional email. Withdrawing marketing consent does not prevent NWANA from sending service-related messages necessary to administer the user’s account, courses, payments, assessments, certifications, security, or requested services.
