Nordic Walking Association of North America ('NWANA') is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information in connection with the Nordic Walking Academy NWANA learning management platform ('Platform').

This Policy complies with applicable U.S. federal and state privacy laws, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other applicable regulations.

• Registration data: full name, email address, country, and professional credentials;

• Payment information: billing name and address (full card data is handled by our payment processor and not stored by NWANA);

• Profile information: biography, profile photo, certifications held;

• Course interactions: assignments, quiz responses, discussion forum posts, and assessments.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Log data: IP addresses, browser type, device identifiers, access times;

• Usage data: pages viewed, courses accessed, completion status, time spent per module;

• Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 7).

2.3 FERPA — Educational Records

To the extent NWANA qualifies as an educational institution under FERPA, educational records (grades, assessments, certifications) will be treated as protected records accessible only to the student and authorized NWANA personnel. Third-party disclosures require your written consent except as permitted by law.

• Provide and operate the Platform and deliver requested courses;

NWANA does not sell personal information. We may share data with:

NWANA implements industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including SSL/TLS encryption in transit, password hashing, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no online system can guarantee absolute security. You accept this inherent risk by using the Platform.

Material changes to this Privacy Policy will be communicated via email and Platform notice at least 30 days before the effective date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
