Nordic Walking Association of North America ('NWANA') is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information in connection with the Nordic Walking Academy NWANA learning management platform ('Platform').
This Policy complies with applicable U.S. federal and state privacy laws, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other applicable regulations.
2. Information We Collect

Payment information: billing name and address (full card data is handled by our payment processor and not stored by NWANA);

To the extent NWANA qualifies as an educational institution under FERPA, educational records (grades, assessments, certifications) will be treated as protected records accessible only to the student and authorized NWANA personnel. The Platform is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. Users between 13 and 17 require documented parental consent as stated in the Terms of Use. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. Reports may be sent to privacy@nwana.org.

NWANA implements industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including SSL/TLS encryption in transit, password hashing, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no online system can guarantee absolute security. You accept this inherent risk by using the Platform.
11. Changes to this Policy
Material changes to this Privacy Policy will be communicated via email and Platform notice at least 30 days before the effective date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
